In “Bird”, the huge background is colored in turquoise, bright red, pink, and orage contouring a semi-abstract female series. The rounded, smooth female hands are composed by refined and expressive dots and lines. The facial expressions are gone, leaving a pair of bright big eyes symbolizing her existence, and also there staring at the viewer. The structure is refined, the colors are pure and strong, it is the art style of Huang Mingche. The artist enjoys creating with bright colors, he began using red sketches since the 80s, and extending from paintings to three-dimensional works. He believes that red represents light and strength, which will be more shocking in the city, more eye-catching. Bright red is indeed Huang Mingche unique personal color.
